David — Astra adapted curved-hem preview
The exposed drape now has a rounded, tapering hanging hem instead of the source illustration’s flat ledge-shaped termination. Built-in imagegen redesigned the local cloth planes and dark leading to follow that curve. The broad connection from the mantle above remains intact.

Artistic method and geometry
The user authorized adapting the overlapping foreground rather than reproducing hidden artwork exactly. The built-in image editor received a crop of the previous composed preview, master bounds (150, 2100, 880, 2760), and was asked to replace the straight side and bottom with a graceful curved hem and one believable fold. The native 1319 × 1193 donor is preserved separately. No Python painting or RGB warping was used.
Only the bounded inner/right drape region is drawn from that donor. An authored SVG contour follows the dark seam under the bright curled front fold, then the newly curved outside hem. A matching exclusion removes the old ledge-shaped foreground in that region. The remaining foreground, base scene and exact lettering are composed from their existing inputs. The donor uses one uniform scale, 730/1319, translated to master (150, 2100), with a 32px alpha transition at its upper entry. Its silhouette edge stays crisp. Exact paths and transform are recorded in mantle-contour.json.
All layers remain on the 2000 × 2800 canvas. Lower backing stays (500, 2200), size 1440 × 540. Title panel, border, cream #f4ead4, teal #263f50 and lettering are unchanged. DAVID uses shared P052 Bold 700 at 138px; verse/reference use shared Sanctification P052 Medium 500 at 80px/57px. The quotation remains “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.” with Acts 13:22 • NKJV.
Review and validation
The final full-card image and enlarged donor-to-original join were visually inspected after the last refinement. The upper mantle flows into a broad connected red plane, the hem rounds and tapers into the hanging fold, and the dark divisions follow its curve. The small gap initially seen at the internal join was removed by aligning the donor to the curled fold’s inner lead seam.
The final change affects 84,092 master pixels within bounds (498, 2100, 758, 2568). No pixels outside the allowed foreground region (490, 2100, 780, 2600) differ from the prior composed preview. Base artwork remains unchanged, and the complete lettering PNG is byte-identical to the previous preview. Shared font hashes, glyph coverage, actual unclipped glyph bounds, zero foreground/text intersections and zero glyph pixels outside opaque backing all pass.
The donor’s foreground colors and texture intentionally differ locally from the source; exact source-RGB preservation is not an acceptance criterion for this artistic adaptation. Its finish and integration remain provisional and require user aesthetic review. No GPU or moving-light review was performed.
